Day 2 Beijing (B&D)
Morning visit to the biggest public square in the world, Tiananmen Square amazes all comers with its grandeur and sheer size. Proceed to the Forbidden City, the Imperial Palace for 24 emperors during Ming and Qing Dynasties and the biggest ancient architectural complex in the world. In the afternoon, continue to the Summer Palace and its well preserved Royal Park, a key Cultural Relics Protection Site since 1960. Containing examples of the ancient arts, it also has graceful landscapes and magnificent buildings. Dinner at Local Restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 Beijing (B&D)
In the morning we drive 75km to visit the Great Wall of China at Juyong Pass that is a symbol of China and reflects the wisdom of the Chinese people. It is incredible that the Chinese succeeded in building such a great masterpiece of architecture with simple tools in ancient time. Visit a Jade Factory enroute before stopping by for a photo –shoot opportunity at the Beijing Olympic Park, where you can view the outside of the National Stadium – the Bird’s Nest and National Aquatics Center the Water Cube. TA visit to a Tea House will round off your sightseeing for the day. Dinner at a local restaurant, Overnight at your hotel.
Day 4 Beijing / Xian (B&D)
After breakfast, you will visit Liulichang, one of downtown Beijing’s traditional old quarters famous for its traditional Chinese stone dwellings that sell various arts, crafts and antiques. Then, visit Da Shi Lan, one of Beijing’s most famous old-fashioned streets that has a history dating back more than 580 years. It was built in 1430, the 18th year of Emperor Yong Le’s rule during the Ming Dynasty. Da Shi Lan is 375 meters long and is home to 26 shops selling goods from nine types of trade. Afternoon on time transfer to airport / train station to catch your flight / bullet train to Xian. Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to your selected hotel. Day 5 Xian (B&D)
After breakfast depart on full day tour with a visit to China’s richest historic area and UNESCO nominated eighth wonder of the world. The amazing Museum of the Terra Cotta Warriors is famous for its great underground army of the First Emperor of China, buried together with him 2200 years ago and discovered only in 1974. It is the most significant archeological excavation of the 20th century. Later, visit a Special Art Lacquer Workshop followed by free time for some shopping at Ancient Style Street. Dinner tonight is at an Indian Restaurant .Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 Xi’an / Shanghai (B&D)
This morning, visit the Ancient City Wall, one of the most complete city walls that has survived as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Continue to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient Buddhist shrine. Afternoon, on time transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Shanghai. Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to your selected hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 7 Shanghai (B&D)
This morning, visit the famous Jade Buddha Temple, so named for its two bejeweled white jade Buddha. Carved from a whole piece of white jade, the sitting jade Buddha statue is translucent with a solemn expression, displaying the skill and craftsmanship of the Chinese artisans. Next up is the Yuyuan Garden that has many scenic courtyards decorated with baroque rockery, pools and flora that are all connected by passages and pathways.
Later, visit a Pearl Factory and the shopping district of Nanjing Road that starts at the Bund and runs westward, with People’s Square in the middle. Popular for its modern bustling atmosphere Nanjing Road is a shopper’s haven not unlike Fifth Avenue in New York and the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Traditional food and handicrafts of Shanghai can be found here. Finally we come to the Bund the renowned waterfront district that is the city’s most famous landmark and a popular site to enjoy the night view of the city. The Oriental TV Tower can be seen standing tall in the Pudong New Area on the east bank of Huangpu River. Completed in 1994, the tower has a height of 468 meres. With multi-functions of sightseeing, catering, shopping, amusement and accommodation, this tower has become the symbol of the city and a popular tourist attraction in Shanghai. Dinner at a local restaurant, overnight at your hotel.
Day 8 Shanghai Departure (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and on time transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Itinerary Ends.
